Honestly, I adore Nao despite not being a fan of her archetype. She grows immensely throughout the series, learning to doubt, think, and lie---while still retaining her purity. Setting aside whether people like her or not, the way she is written is ESSENTIAL to the story and its theme, and I wouldn't change her for anything. I'm sad the manga got axed too early by the publishers, but at least we still got a TV drama with some original games --- but also if you thought Nao was bad, trust me Shinohara Yuu (Liar Game Reborn) is WAYYYYYY more dislikeable.
