Ruby and Aqua were never serious xD, the authors ALWAYS pushed the Kana x Aqua (in an interview they said she is the kind of girl tha saves you) and low key Akane x Aqua, Ruby was never a serious option, it was obvious.
I think I just noticed how very in-your-face this chapter was about Kana x Aqua lmaoooo.
And "Aqua and Ruby are just siblings" too he basically confirmed that he just thinks of her as his twin.
Like I know this was gonna be endgame but the fact that this episode dropped HEAVILY PUSHING THAT makes me think the incest subplot got a BIG backlash and this was the author’s way to try to appease that. I feel like before, the Arima ship woulda been a tiny bit more subtle but clear. Instead, this chapter just smacked us in the face with it. Might be just me tho.
