
He didn't ask. He was basically convinced they were dating, to the point where Keishi had to convince him VERY strongly that they weren't dating (to Keishi's own detriment oof!) It's great that he's an ally, but I think he should've given his co worker a chance to come out on his own terms. Coming out of the closet is terrifying, and is a sensitive matter itself. It was kind of unwise to put a closeted co-worker on the spot like that, and kind of force them out of the closet, even with all the best intentions! He's straight so maybe he just doesn't know what coming out feels like. I'm sure he had no malice at all, and he just didnt know any better. That's "Hanlon's Razor" for you T-T
what keishi said was hurtful but he was right to say "a person who says they have no prejudice is actually prejudiced" because if that coworker really is an ally, so to speak, he wouldn't be so confrontational about this without even letting the two in question speak about it first. tanaka simply might just not have any tact whatsoever but it's still not any of his business in the first place to be dipping his toes in so insensitively
