In 1st TL. The duke actually knew MC is his child but he still decided to vote to kill his own daughter and chose cosette.
Turned out, cosette was destruction harbringer, that's when he regretted killing his own daughter for a demon.
He turned back time with the help of the magician, the magician told him, only 1 person will have the memories, so he chose MC to have all the memories from 1st TL.
In this new TL, the duke have dream/nightmare about past TL.
He still trash tho.
At least the ending, he was left alone by MC and his son. They both cut ties with him.
Funny thing is that he didnt even regret killing his own daughter,he just regreted leaving a demon alive that killed everyone. And then realised oh so the other daughter,the real daughter has powers then lets bring her with all her memories so she can solve the bullshit I will be making. Proceeds even in this lifetime to be a shit father. On God one of the worst fucking parents I have seen in these typa mangas.
I used word regret I meant as in he regretted cosette was a demon. But no he didn't feel guilty killing our MC. That's why I love the ending. No one call him father lol. Just live up your life as some shit dude, the last duke ever.
I still like this ending than most shitty parents story where they are all forgiven or have peaceful death
Kinda want the story to not stick to novel cuz that piece of shit duke deserves more than just being kinda ghosted by his children. He was always an emotionless cardboard cutout, he'll probably be fine after eating a cheese stick or something.

But it still better than the dad on "Tyrant wants to be good", MC father is such useless and cruel father to her but he got peaceful dead??? His son should've leave him.
