Thinking

I feel like if both the inside and the outside is a fully adult, no questions about it, then why would you not consider her an adult? It would be scummy if they say that she's a child on the inside, but they explicitly say she's adult on the inside as well. I think it's like the adult Homonculus from Fullmetal Alchemist where they are fully grown adults from day one. But to be fair it does feel a bit weirdly framed with them saying "She is five years old!" instead of like "She's existed for 5 years by now" or smth, idk. Framing is important. Hope it doesn't get weirder :/

I think it maybe has to do more with Itsuka, with him being a magic user/sorcerer and someone who likes to be logical and rational, and being familiar with magical experiments. It could be just another excuse to avoid his feelings, which he is already suppressing forcibly with his magic (as we have seen), coming up with all kinds of reasons why it could never be.
It also could be related to something else from their past (ie. When they met/their journey at the beginning) that we don't yet know about.

We are told she is an adult, and imo clearly shown it as well - maybe she seems a bit slow at times (me too tbh), but she is an adult both in physical mind and appearance. Definitely the framing puts a spin on it, I wonder if this was a translation thing or if the japanese text had similar framing.
I know how weird these series can get (i mean hello ero-dungeon with classic hentai dungeon tropes)but I have my hopes up they'll do this series justice.

Ngl, I would've assumed this series would use seinen/josei tags for itself, not shoujo/shounen considering the youngest the latter caters to is 12, and this series def shouldn't be read by a 12-year old I personally enjoy the kink scenes and in general any scenes with Rufue make me gay panic 100%, but it def makes me uncomfortable to think this would be recommended to someone younger than 16. I feel like I've seen this series somewhere tagged as josei/seinen butttt I checked both here and on bato and both use shoujo/shonen instead. :v

wrt this it's serialized in a magazine that's DEFINITELY targeted towards older teens and up. scan sites like these tend to choose shounen/shoujo/josei/seinen tags in a really weird way in my opinion. so rather than relying on them for accurate info on target audience it's generally better to search for what a series is running in.

That's good to hear! I honestly didn't even think about that, and was mainly focusing on the online sites where I read series nowadays. For sure, the tagging/labelling can be so weird on here - I know a martial arts series here that is tagged with a romance tag despite there being none in the actual series :v I can only assume it's there due to the art style being somewhat more similar to a shoujo webtoon than a typical action/martial arts one.

oh yeah I don't usually bother checking unless it's something like this where a tag really seems like it's not accurate. but I def see a lot where the artstyle or gender of the protagonist leads people to tag incorrectly too
