Maybe it's because Taeju wanted to ensure his stay aswell ;-;) he won't be staying there if he doesn't have a dept anyway, I think Taeju worries a lot that he will leave once the dept has been paid, Taeju doesn't trust him and wanted to ensure everything all by himself like how he drained the pool.without telling him the reason... just my opinion
