So there has only ever been one daughter. Selena thought that she had died of the curse, and that her soul had possessed the body of her parents’ second daughter. But in reality, her mother used very strong magic to regress Selena’s body back to when she had first been cursed (so baby Selena), then Selena’s mother transferred the curse to herself. (Hopefully that makes sense)
