Her country is like an ally to his enemy's country. So yeah. Can't tell him about her identity
Forgive me if im wrong but her reasoning actually make sense for me, basically she was afraid that he would use her as hostage or a tool to start a war, if she had revealed her identity. Like her mom will definitely try to get her back no matter what if they found out she's been captured, like what if he use her to threaten her family. From the reader stan point we know what he actually feels but she doesn't and can't risk to be the cause of her family get killed.
Why can't she just tell him who she is? Like, will his country wage war on her country if she did? Or are their countries enemies? Sorry, but I kind of forgot if that was ever mentioned.
