Well I know of just one comment to refer to, which you commented on (but I can’t now).
Please don’t feel hurt :’)
I wouldn’t call them homophobic, but there’s a lot of misunderstanding around the whole internet even between allies.
It’s simply a matter of communication and listening — but there are too many voices, so even a well-intending ally gets lost between who to trust and who not to.
Like, we see what a mess just one misunderstanding gets our characters into :v and this is the whole internet we’re talking about.
I wanted to comment there, and I’ll just DM you that comment to show you my support fren

Well, I don't think reading queer webcomics is a guarantee of anything, unfortunately. As a Black reader and writer I can't tell you how many times I've seen awful attitudes and comments from non-Black readers who claim to read and enjoy media from Black creators about us.
Also, people don't take comics seriously lol, treat it as an escape from the real world and are actively hostile to anyone making connections between the two. Even the simplest, most basic observations are at best "doing too much" or it looks like the incredible overreaction in that thread. (Also queer folx have their own prejudices against other kinds of queer folx. Me using "cishet" had them ranting about "erasing women's identities" which....huh??? LMAO)
It's wild out here!

Dude the fact that you're labeling people makes me so fucking angry. As if people with certain preferences shouldn't read certain things. I swear people like you create more segregation.
Let people read whatever the fuck they want. "Alies" or shit like that creates more barriers.
Why starting a whole topic about it? and what the fuck has to do with anything that youre autistic? Are you trying to start drama? Because fuck you if you are. Your comment is not even about the manga, so stop attention-whoring.
I thought the people reading BL would be LGBTQ+ or allies, at least. Can someone explain this to me?
I'm autistic and gained confidence to come out as lesbian in a conservative state where I can literally be fired for it because of the existence of BL and GL, and I love the progress BL has had over the years regarding more consent. BL Korean webtoons feel a lot like that my home state.
But it seems there are more straight people reading this webcomic — and ones that think gay experiences invalidate hetero ones reading gay webcomics in general.
