I think he mentioned he’s 30 based on Korean counting age thing. Your age is 1 after you was born, and you will get 1 year older after new year. It means if the baby was born on 31 Dec, that baby will turn 2 years old after 1 Jan (the next day). I’m just assuming it, but I think this is the point why the age is counted differently.
I'm confused abt mcs age... In the first side stories he mentioned he's 30 but in this chapter he's 28?? This also happened in main story
