It makes me a bit upset when I read this but I love messy and over complicated stories. Not when they reuse the same thing over and over. But when it just keeps you guessing. Every time I read one chapter I cringe give it time and come back just for me to be like “why are you like this?” But at the end of the day, I want to see how it goes. If they properly give things a talk to. If he goes to the doctor and gets medicated because of his “hallucinations” or if the ml decides to become even more “evil” to keep the mc by his side.
