I think Marin will accept offer from pro cosplay agency or something to let Waka focus on his dream, but she won't be shining like with him, and he will also be in the dumps.
I bet at some point during their "separation" they will have heart to heart.
I just hope his childhood friend is somewhat decent person and won't be meddling with them too much.
