Is there a reason why he continues to call Taeheon 'sir'? It makes it seem like the relationship is imbalanced

    Yeah I wasnt sure if it was just the translations, but whenever he does it it makes their relationship seem distant ( ̄へ ̄)it throws me off each time

    it's usually a cultural thing ... like how we call those that are older than us is not the same in Asian cultures. there is more of a hierarchy. and that gets lost in translation, so it just sounds weird to us Westerners.

    There is one called Wish Me Love, but in that one the seme is the Ike’s boss so it makes sense he would call the seme sir. But later when they start dating he still calls him sir even after the seme asks to use his name. So it was mostly saying sir out of habit, but was also weirdly embarrassed about using the seme’s name so maybe this is the same for now

    yeah.. it's the hierarchy,
    like if you don't see yourself as standing as an equal with your partner, you refer to them by title or seniority..
    it doesn't translate well into English.
