Since from season 1. From the start he had feelings on Aeroc he just didn't recognized it because of prejudice against both alpha as a lovers.

And then now season 2. Aeroc is being careful as to not happen again what happened on season 1. He didn't know if it was a dream or something that's why he is cautious. In the later part of season 2 they will both talk about what happened in season 1 as they both dream of what happened and make things right in the current lifetime
