I honestly don’t see the second couple working out for much longer. They both have different goals that aren’t compatible with each other. Wife is the type of person who prefers her work over her husband, while husband is someone who values quality time. Everyone has a right to enjoy something they love. But it’s important to balance that with your partners needs as well, when you loose that balance, the relationship becomes fragile. She should take that job offer, because at the end of the day, it’s something she’s always wanted and husband knows this. Divorce is probably for the best. So they can find someone else who have the same values as them. Everyone in this story is flawed and selfish. While i understand why the second couple act the way they do, their actions aren’t justified. Like the husband, i understand he was being neglected, but emotionally cheating isn’t justified. Same goes for wife, i understand she loves her job, but you can’t just neglect your relationship and expect them to always be happy when you leave them.
