I think some people just want to traumatise themselves. Not sure what the reason is. But it also adds character. A traumatised MC who pulled through, is logical, strong and still has compassion is one we can feel emotionally connected to.
I honestly believe ppl read toxic BL or yaoi to see men be crushed emotionally and mentally
Actually I read toxic stories because they’re more interesting.
Fluffy stories are good FOR A MOMENT but they start to drag and there’s no actual character development because the story is already fluffy as is, but with toxic stories there’s development, deeper plot, etc
Also, they all around have more character/spice or whatever the word is called lol
Why do author’s write stories like this? How do these stories or the idea of these stories don’t align with what the author? You wrote it so obviously you like it to an extent. Ugh it makes me nauseous thinking about what the uke had endured and will continued to endure.
