Yeah it didn't have to be the neighbour, it could've been anyone. He actually got fixated on "having sex with someone other than his bf who he has feelings for". He easily got swayed n ignored how JM would be hurt because his feelings for his bf were weaker than his desire for a thrill outside the relationship. He genuinely regretted it only after the hj scene when he thought he'd lose his bf n couldn't sleep. And during all this he's not ready to accept the fact that he was ok being with others n cheat emotionally be it with the neighbour or anyone else. Also, in the last chapter, the author says couples fight over 'trivial' things n its inevitable to get hurt.......do they think emotional cheating is 'trivial'? N its inevitable? Is that the standard relationship?Wow
