The story started BECAUSE our MC wanted to get married, like they got matched for marriage to begin with. Having opposing views on marriage is not the problem, it's the fact that Kotani isn't actually listening to Shishikura and instead hurting him with such shallow gestures.
I think everybody is mad because if u don't want to get married, then don't hold the wedding. It is a dick move when u propose it on your own without telling your perspective on marriage. Its like holding a coronation ceremony when no one is being crowned a king/queen, whats the point.
I think it would be more understandable if it was the other eay around, actually. Like not wanting the technically unnecessary ceremony and just signing the documents makes way more sense if you plan on spending the rest of your lives together. For practical reasons.
I don't plan on ever having a fancy wedding, but if I find a life-long partner we're signing some documents, are you kidding me? The benefits are significant

I would support this decision to marry for the benefits but the uke clearly wants to get married for the Definition pf marriage not because of some monetary benefits... wouldn't it be rude against him if the seme just marries him because of the benefits?? Yk
Why does everybody want them to get married??? Kotani doesn't want to get married but is willing to give Shishikura the ceremony because he wants it. I don't need to get married to "see a future" with the boyfriend, u can also live together as just boyfriends
