I’ve noticed Korean webcomics tend to do this a lot. If two adults have issues with each other, then the children of those adults are expected to fight about it/ take responsibility for whatever their parents are doing. I’ve started to wonder if it’s just a coincidence with these stories and has absolutely nothing to do with actual Korean culture/ societal expectations, or maybe it actually is a common way of thinking? Not trying to be presumptuous, or make assumptions, but I’m really curious.

Oh it definitely does! I can even name a few idols whose parents were doing shady things and the idol got hate for it. I live in Japan and it’s kinda the same here too so I wonder if it’s a some Asian countries thing

Very interesting…Definitely want to do more research about this! I love learning about the unspoken social rules/ taboos/ and social expectations of other countries and making comparisons. Not to really judge or critique, but just to observe and take note of the differences in the way certain places function.
