This is so beautiful but goddamn why am I getting the warning alarms going off in my head that the "do not betray me" promise is gonna come back real hard in like 37 chapters bc princey has some awful shit planned. not to the degree of being a tyrant or whatever but some twisted political thing that the knight will disagree with
I'm not shitting on the prince I'm just suspicious bc of how much emphasis they're putting on that one part, narrative-wise, that it'll come back to bite
