All I have to say, is that it has been an incredible journey. I absolutely loved the anime, I loved the manga and seeing the characters develop over time was truly inspiring. The series taught me so many valuable lessons and, despite its fantastical elements, served as a beautiful slice of life story in many ways.
However, the ending absolutely broke my heart. It’s not just that Midoriya stayed quirkless; it’s the fact that he gave up his dream of becoming the number one hero for the sake of others. Anyone who claims that he fulfilled his dream while remaining quirkless is simply deluded. Seeing Aoyama, who had his quirk from the main villain and betrayed his friends, living out his dream while Midoriya, a true hero at heart, is relegated to desk work is utterly unfair and disappointing. Midoriya deserved so much more, and his selfless sacrifice, while noble, left me heartbroken.
