From what I remembered, towards the end of the relationship, Leo was kinda using JJ for sex and hasn’t done any couple things with JJ. It kinda left JJ questioning Leo if they’re even a couple anymore. It also shows that Leo might not be actually listening to JJ (maybe dismissing him or just not really caring to hear him out?) so communication is kinda going down the drain.
