Nah she evil incarnate with everyone but what pisses me off is that the emperor is only evil with Ettienne. He is a fucking wimp with everyone else and its like he throws the anger for not being able to defeat the evil mum to his innocent son. For me he is worse since he never acknowledged him,let him in pain and literally raised Rishar with him just to tell his son: See this one is better he is your replacement,you are nothing! Right on his face He never cared to investigate if his son was sick,literally became a "father" for Rishar bcs he had a weird crush on his omega father which is fucking weird and Rishar adressed that and wants to use him to take away his sons only friend and also post as emperor that can assure him his well earned future. He is a disgraceful man through and through,maybe not from evil but born through ignorance and haterance.

i think it’s also because she’s so comically evil that the emperor is a more realistic kind of evil people can relate to and hate easier. neglect is such a common thing and the extreme levels of favouritism and only focusing on his own blood after being shouted at and told to twice by another man is also something people can’t respect easily too. he also made his own sons life hell. and it seems like there’s going to be a redemption arc for him so that adds to people unease cus the empress sure won’t get it and is definitely too cartoony to be hated with the same vitriol.
