Why did this chapter seem so short?

Two most plausible reasons 1 author is tired/sick 2 story is about to end

If they are tired or sick they should just say something about the next chapter will be out next week. I know some people will be mad, but it's better than to come out with a half ass update than a really short one. And if it is about to end then let it end normally instead of dragging it on with a short chapter.
