By already read lots of omegaverse, I think “fate pair” stage is like “alpha/omega in heat” stage mostly , they know e/o or will get into heat just by looking at e/o’s eyes. So r*pe will happen no matter what, kinda (they also always drew like that). Normally medicines can prevent them go in heat in public and protect from unwanted bite marks or if it’s too strong, it can even help you to disguise your second gender like even tho you’re omega, you can act tough as alpha or beta.
Then author will add the clause that, "oh, the meds doesn't work anymore for this particular omega." Or the doctors will suggest just keep that alpha next to you to help you.... Omegaverse.... I am glad it's fiction

I don’t feel that is too far from the excuses people say about rapists and women: “he couldn’t control himself” “you dress too provocative””what was she wearing at that time?””men are more instinctive” Like there’s always an excuse that justifies the abuser and blame the victim. That’s why I hate that Omegaverse “logics”, they are almost the same as the ones they use in real life to keep rape culture
I really just see Omegaverse for authors to justify writing the narrative of r*pe... Authors that can actually break the stigma is rare... green flags omegaverse are like rare precious gems
