i wouldn't even call it a love triangle and i'm not sure if the author would either cuz like you said the friend isn't even an option. for the mc the friend always was just a friend and they don't even have any romantic scenes together. it probably is just a story about the mc and ml and the friend is just there for the drama but not in a way that makes the mc fall in love with him. the friend isn't even on the cover so i actually don't think that it's meant to be a love triangle.
Yeah, you’re right honestly, I don’t know how I didn’t realize that before but I still don’t like it when they do stuff like that it’s kind of like what’s the point especially when they like accidentally make the other person better than the ML and they just have to do character assassination or some shit
I hate it when people make love triangles and don’t know how to write them right like it’s not a love triangle if one of the love interest love is 100% one-sided but that’s what most of these writers write it like what the heck why even have them in it? Like give us one chapter where there’s even a fragment of hope goddamn
