Kang asked why he lied because what was the reason that Yiyoung felt the need to lie? Kang didn’t outburst or anything, he only asked. Yiyoung made it seem weirder and worse by lying in the first place.

I know, it was a joke to be honest. I know Kang is just kind of worried cause he found someone that he truly cares about and worried that once his company gets big that he will leave Kang. That's what all of Kang's previous lovers did.
