Nothing is mentioned about his longevity after the transplant. It's only a speculation made by the commentators based on findings in google, well guess what there is someone who has lived more than 40 years after transplant so yeah.. You can search in google if you're curious.
Anyway it's a a good read. Nothing traumatic. They are living happily ever after.
