why do the goddess and her statues all look different?
probably because other people have never actually seen her... as is the case with most gods and goddess - people have never seen them so they can only imagine what they look like...
sorry maybe this is just something that was put in as a plot device but honestly it's kind of weak and i feel that there was some better way to interject the idea of spreading false info about the goddess. not trying to diss the story or story writer but i do feel this was kind of a lame way to make an attempt at a plot concept.
