I think they are both having internal struggles with the prophecy. And I bet there is a time-line of when the prophecy has to be complete that is approaching that is making them both more anxious than usual.
Also they are just meeting back up after however many days uke was missing.
Like what is happening in these last two chapters with them? Like they are acting completely out of character, they're basically hate fucking for absolutely no reason at all, nothing makes sense anymore. They don't love each other but they do or something?
