Tbh he's not even a well written yandere, he just seems like he came out of nowhere and pushing himself into the plot....it's like he's so 1 dimensional and his only personality trait is being fucked in the head and a stalker

i'd honestly not hate it if it went true stalker and he's just delulu af and the reason he started all this insanity was something super insignificant. like i cannot recall the name of this story i read but it was one where this dude was a total stalker and wooed his wife with his creepo stalker ways and changed everything about himself and his life to appeal to her and they ended up married with kids and living super happily and then like YEARS into their marriage his bs was revealed -if i recall by a 3rd party- and wife was shocked and appalled and felt totally cheated into marrying him; like the whole life she shared with him was fake. (I think it was revealed when they were at least 20 years into marriage....maybe more.) so like /it started fake and all/ and he did hide his freak ass side from her; but he'd become who he'd pretended to be and they'd lived the happiest life together for decades without her having any clue. just calmly and joyfully raising their kids and enjoying their lives and each other. so sometimes the stalker trope can actually turn out interesting.
A theory I have is that he’s involved with her debts. If he is someone who does a lot behind the scenes of threatening the ppl who harass her, I wouldn’t put it past him to instigate the whole debt situation to ruin the relationship. If this doesn’t happen Ngl I’ll be disappointed because I’d love for such a plot twitch and complicated arc, heck I’ll even take the possibility that his family or business was related to debts and he didn’t do it on purpose would be so interesting to read! Sigh one can wish
I don’t think you’re very far off tho!! This theory is definitely valid in one way or another because I, too, have a feeling his family may be in the debt collecting business or some kind of underground business that deals with debts/ people who owe. I would not be surprised if her trash ex-husband got himself tangled up in debt with the wrong people and the ML’s family was tasked with getting it back after the debt was failed to be paid in certain amount of time. We know that our poor FL is breaking her back and neck to pay it back all by herself. There is just no way the ML knows too much about the FL from out of nowhere. I feel like he had to learn about her and her ex-husband, and then somewhere in the process fell for her - that’s what I think.

Are we just gonna ignore that the ML is creepily stalking her in the middle of the night? Being deceitful (pretending to be a poor guy to get her sympathy) and tryna make the ppl she bumped into seem like villains or something when their reaction is perfectly normal? Like idk man I just can't get into him, he doesn't seem that different from the cheating bastard they're just bad in different ways but they're both dishonest and deceitful with her to get what they want.
She fr needs someone who is honest, generous, caring and communicative towards her (who also has a normal job cuz the ML seems to be involved in dangerous business) who is also around the same age as her instead of someone a decade younger or something.....
Like if we take off the pretty face, the ML is......very questionable
