He turned back time after FL died in first timeline and maybe he did accept her as companion but again as he mentioned that for some really stupid idiotic only a moron could reason didn't really accept the feelings that he was starting to grow. It was mentioned that dragons gains human emotions as they mix(???) assimilate (???) with their companion overtime. His stupid ass didn't spend enough time with her though so maybe the assimilation process was kinda slow(???) .
