Exactly. It’s hard to see the abuse happening to you until you leave the situation. Unfortunately it can be pretty hard to do that. Sometimes I still get “aha” moments, and its been years.

I want some folks to understand that someone that's been in a relationship with someone like that for a long time and was being mentally and possibly physically abused it's hard to leave them. Courage and strength to leave takes time please stop trying to rush people. And I've seen some of these other comments y'all are violent
