Just finished the main story part of the novel and SO WORTH IT!
Literally, no stupid drama or anything like real villian. While yes, slow ass burn, but sooo worth it.
While I did have to skip some chapters in the beginning because it was a bit boring with all the swimming talk and such. Jaekyung is literally such a green ass flag towards Jiheon. Tbh, I found Jiheon annoying when he kept pushing Jaekyung to pursue his career more seriously and go to xyz trainings and ordering him around when Jaekyung himself made it clear he did not care for it. Jiheon purposely uses harsh words like “when you and your future lover” during moments when Jaekyung talks about going on dates or cute things or planning his future with Jiheon. Jaekyung of course while sadden by those words, still pushes forward and calls him out on his action.
Things starts to get hot and better when Jiheon found out that Jaekyung is not trying out for the Olympics. He goes on about regrets Jaekyung would have because Jiheon said he did. Jaekhyung then said, find he will go, but under the condition that Jiheon will do anything he asks for to ensure he will have nothing to regret. Ofc, after Jiheon agrees, Jaekyung immediately mentioned that if he does not have sex with Jiheon right now, he will regret it. They proceeded forward and that is the beginning of their relationship tbh.
The sex scene was literally so fucking hot throughout the whole novel. I literally pray the manga follows all words and actions.
Jaekyung is literally such a damn tease as a lover that Jiheon gives in and I cannot blame him too. Jiheon be lying to himself that he does not love Jaekyung but he fell hard already since their reunion.
What I found so cute and drew me into the novel more was finding out the meaning behind the title “Dash”. When Jiheon agrees to date or accept Jaekyung a bit. Jaekyung, overjoyed mentioned how he mentioned that he is attempting a 100-meter dash, and now he’s 30 no 20 meters closer to the finishing line. Basically, even though he has won and set world record on many races, there is one race he has yet to won, and that was to be with Jiheon. Slowly but surely, he is closing that gap. I found that so cute.
Flash back story too of Jaekyung missing and crying while looking everywhere for Jiheon broken me. But we got them redeem as Jiheon swear he will never make Jaekyung lonely again now knowing what Jaekyung went through while Jiheon was not there.
Overall, this story was soo good. I cannot wait for the manga to catch up.
