Nah he said that then says she "misunderstood " cuz he didn't like her business dealings so he just said that as an excuse to refuse her investment becuz respecting mc as a woman isn't something he can do. nor does he think that that is even worse than not liking her business then changing his mind abt her deals later.
Not sure if you read further, but if I remember correctly (it’s been a bit since I read the beginning) the reason he rejected her investing is because if he had the other men would pull out of investing if they saw a woman investing. He already saw how smart she was, so I think he would have accepted had it not been for the other investors.
What I meany is that it doesn't matter what the reason was if his initial refusal was rude, and he did say he didn't like her business dealings if buying and selling territories
