It depends on the story I guess
I mean I for one prefer the more dollified version of Dr.Seok from Rainbow City rather than how he started out. He look more like my 34 year old hamster princess baby and I love him for it.
But if it’s like a Uke that is supposed to be badass, but then gets twinkified then I guess it would be a bit weird.
But I’m also bias because I’m a twink enjoyer and I love looking at skinny lil baby boys with their buff husbands.

I only accept this in comics, and even then with difficulty. When you change the art you lose the identity of the story and it looks like you don't appreciate your own story
When I was in college I had 4 "Princess Sarah" books, the art was absolutely magical. The following volumes were the worst artistic betrayal of my life

If the art style changes for the better than I don't really mind (like k's secret)
The problem is when on tries so hard to fix an art style that had no problem whatsoever or tries to experience a new one. I find that annoying and because of that it's hard and rare for me to continue reading. I almost dropped" lost in the cloud" bro.

I can get over it most of the time...I can be the bigger person most of the time...But what the hell went wrong with The Young lady is a royal chef????!!! That felt like a personal insult!!
The first season has a beautiful and unique art style, which makes big use of differentiating line weight, focusing on good cell shading and not messy pillow shading, and bright, contrasting yet harmonious colors. The characters all have these bright shiny eyes, yet they're not overtly complicated to the point of needing to paste in textures. The unique proportions give the main character this truly cute appearance with big cheeks and defined lip.
And then...,And then!! They changed it! To something so horribly basic! Compare chapter 3 to chapter 49, it's horrible! And I guess at some point they heard the criticism, because chapter 149 has bright colors, has thicker lines and cell shading, but! It still doesn't look right! It took all the elements that were charming and made them look cheap! The pacing of the panels got so much worse! AAAAAAAAAAAAA
So I guess I don't care if generic anime#3a gets replaced with generic anime#4b, but when a truly interesting artist disappears, you notice...
Just a fun sharing answers no harms intended!
What's your take when authors suddenly changes artstyle? Specifically when the bottoms/uke/zero who are hot and looks like they could make everyone's leg spread, then suddenly becomes dollified after.
