Tbh I've reread the thing for the beginning recently knowing details of the later chapters. Early Hyoun was still a huge cry baby lol. He's not even mature, he was just mad/annoyed/frustrated most of the time because of his memory loss. To me (retrospectively at least), he still feels younger than Taehyuk even in the earlier chapters. I would call him kind of edgy vs mature. But that's just me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I understand what you mean. He was THAT mature.
I don’t mind the crying tbh lol, but I feel like he acts far more baby-ish now, even without the crying.
I say mature in the way that he was more on teenager level rather than 5y/o.
Like, I want to see him look happy and spend time with taehyuk with an expression that doesnt make him appear as a kid who just got a new toy, or as if his mom made his favourite dinner.
I kinda miss the old hyo-un’s personality. Not the him being angry part, but the slight maturity. He was actually a little serious, and like an adult (considering he’s hundreds of years old). I understand his current personality in the backstory, as that was their dynamic, and he was just learning about feelings, but not anymore.
It’s been YEARS, the main character is a different person now, and hyo-un has been living through so many eras. It’s as if he’s regressed mentally, and it’s honestly a little uncomfortable…
