The threatening part was the most absurd. I didn't see it you way you've just explained but it makes sense now. Nakwon's only ways are violence, threats and lies. Nothing stops him from getting what he wants. I thought only Mokhwa didn't evolve but Nakwon as well didn't change at all. Same selfish scumbag with angelic features and gaslighting methods. Well at least it makes the characters consistent I guess
Yeah, this chapter kinda made me realize Mokhwa's thoughts and how he views Nakwon's character is probably how the author views Nakwon and their situation as well. Its not just Mokhwa not changing and moving on. Nakwon is a sumbag, but a controlled scumbag and Mokhwa has the leash.
Hmmm i thought Nakwon kinda turned over a new leaf but i guess hes still the type to threaten people if they dont do what he wants. Like I thought he regretted raping Mokhwa but i guess its more like he just regretted doing it cause now hes having a hard time getting him to fall in love. Hes still a scumbag through and through.
Which, tbh im kinda glad. I hate it when a character suddenly changes out of nowhere. Its like the author is saying, hey rapists are nice people, your butt was just in the way. But here we see a rapists who deluded himself into thinking he was nice and who regrets his past actions only because its currently getting in the way of getting what he wants. But when being nice doesnt work out, they return to being a scumbag, threatening you and throwing everything they did nice to your face.
Then we also have the mc, who didnt suddenly forget everything. Mokhwa knows what kind of person Nakwon is, Mokhwa was never fooled for a sec as we can see in his thought bubbles. But....hes kinda into that, i guess.
