Atp empress alr did too much bad stuff so it’s expected she’d get a bad ending, tho the emperor is literally a big part of the reason why MC is suffering but sadly don’t think the author plans to give emperor any more punishment than rishar berating him

ML is spot on when he told the emperor that all of this is due to the emperors selfishness. He could’ve rejected the empress if he really wanted to be with MLs dad, or anything else yk. He wanted the emperor title and that’s the cost of it.
ML told emperor that this is all bc of him, that he neglected his son and that he’s scared of the empress and trusting others and he’s right. emperor simply never gave a fuck about anyone but himself and his own goals and fucked MC over.
We did see the empress’ perspective too and like if she didn’t go batshit crazy bc of the emperors indecisiveness and also fear of her, empress could’ve just married another prince and gotten her throne without having to opt for revenge.
The emperor seems to be the root of all the casts’ suffering but I feel like he’ll get off much too lightly for it.
