Why is he to blame thou?
I can't even point that out. All that happened in their whole political scene was done without him in control of anything. What happened with his brother was not even his fault. And he is just starting to open up to people about his traumas. All he did was exist and unfortunately thats enough for the story I guess ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Because he was the convenient person to blame, He's the only one present, and people are being irrational.
He belonged to another kingdom, lied about his gender(not even his fault, if he told the truth, you think the king is merciful enough to spare him? Even if it's not, you think Louie will know that? Lying about it is him being smart politically. In most cases, this will be taken as a slight, and either will be taken as hostage which the other king won't care about or executed or prisoned), and add some prejudice that has been building up between the two kingdoms. So that's why he's being blamed.
But it's not even his fault and was just stuck between the two kings's feud, fuelled by his coward of a half brother.
Lemme add that the people in this story doesn't realize Louie is just a pawn, easily to throw away. Even if it wasn't Louie who was brought in but another person, they will still get blamed for the war, only simply because they belong in another country.
Yeah, I get that and thats why its infuriating and I wanted them (story characters) to think it through by carefully analyzing how they would have answered the question but I also advocate for the 3 to elope (⌒▽⌒)
I missed the whole fucking plot where Mc is solely to blame for this war..... After the war can they just go live in another place cause wtf was all that?????
