Yeah I was wondering they are foreshadowing that someone's using his pain as like a catalyst... like he's the heart of the curse but not the actual curser...
The fact that Moni couldn't get close despite being the most powerful demon (I believe they said she was earlier) seems... odd... she described it as emanating off him which is why I thought he was like a catalyst.
Otherwise I guess it could be an unintentional curse... like wishing an entire nation into being strong enough to protect her and that fuelled his miracles power or something??
Yea, I can't wait to find out though :)
maybe he didn't put the curse on them, maybe that's why he protects her body. Also he did mention how he fails to believe she is dead. So maybe he will accept her being a live in the other world pretty easily.
