I felt the same way when I saw the changes they made in the manhua chapter. The novel definitely did better in expressing the emotions of the situation.

Yeah the novel was really good at describing things so I was a little dissapointed when I read this chapter.
I enjoyed this chapter but I would've liked it if it was more emotional like the novel. I feel like I was tossed around here and there like ling ling gets shot, now she's in her bed unconscious, and now she back home. They didn't even give time to show how horrified everyone felt when they found Ling Ling or how down everyone was while they were waiting in the hall for Merlin to give them news about Ling Ling. They didn't even show how painful it was for Arthur to have to let go of Ling Ling. It felt kind of rushed and cold when you compare it with the novel. I was really looking forward for the burst of emotions in this chapter too ):
