While I agree, they should have included the entire monologue. They probably had to tone down the violence for regulation reasons
I was just about to go rant on this!! I read this part in the novel over and over because when i read this scene my heart aches and always brings me to tears since this is one of the times Ruby bares her heart out and she speaks not for survival but for herself and also she basically foregoes her will to live here but at the same time fought for it. IM SO FREAKING CRYING RIGHT NOW.... THIS SCENE.... IVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG....
was looking forward to the line “do you wanna know what’s difference between you and him? when im with you i want to k!ll myself!” but they changed that up :/

Exactly I really wanted that. I wanted to see the others reaction when it finally clicks in them especially after everything she has gone through. Especially seeing the ML’s shock and anguish

I’m guessing if it’s for cost reasons it could be because I thought the scene would have taken up two chapters instead of the one they gave
But they show izek stabbing Cesare with a lot of blood I think they could've shown ruby get beat up
They rlly shouldn't have tired to save cost in arguably the most important scene in the entire novel
It's definitely not a matter of costs, simply put webtoon targets more kids than the novel, so they are changing things around.
In other webtoon Marriage of Convenience antagonist death was also different than in the novel, they tone down scenes with explicit violence and other heavy subjects.
Noooooooo!! This scene was way better in novel, fk her monologue was longer, more direct and cruel towards this pos, also she was more beaten up, and at some point he was strangling her while screaming, she was covered in blood from cuts and a lot of ppl witnessed it, knights, Freya with her brother, her sister, and father in law.
While I don't like to see Ruby hurt, in this scene artist should really follow the novel, it showed how she was treated her whole life, and thanks to witnessing her at her lowest everyone present understood she was a victim, even Freya, and the rest of ppl who distrusted Ruby instantly realized she wasn't some scheming devil, who is playing with Izek's feeling.
In this version it looks bad, but not SO bad, like it could be seen as really, really heated argument, when emotions fly of the handle, while it should be clear indication of how cruel he was, and how bad Ruby was treated.
I'm really disappointed.
