Maybe the author didn't expect to have so many people be interested in sanho and tak and when they got so much good feedback about them they decided to up the amount of chapters, even so you're right, I feel like a separate story would make the most sense.
That could explain it, although I don't understand why the side story wasn't about the main couple from the start. Thank you though.

If the author have so much things to yapp about Tak and Sanho, why not make it a story? Why can't the side story be about the main couple?
I know people like it, but wouldn't you like it even more if it was it's own manhwa?
And the others who don't like it, we could avoid it?
