and rant.

Okay, before anyone comes for my neck, let me remind you that we are all entitled to our own opinion, and I don’t intend to offend anyone.

Ch 99 for me is disappointing.

It's the most baby trapping chapter of all the baby trapping stories I've ever read.

It looks like the author wrote this chapter with a spelled out C-O-N-S-E-N-T floating invisibly across the panels. It feels like the author slammed it to the reader's face saying 'here's the consent that you want, happy?'

But it's the consent to baby making.

Not the consent to making love.

Why? Here are the definitions just to clarify the difference:

BABY MAKING - focuses on the goal of conceiving a child. It generally implies the primary intention behind sex is to get pregnant. It's more on the biological process of reproduction rather than on emotional/relational aspects.

MAKING LOVE - emphasizes on the emotional/relational aspects of intimacy. It generally suggests that the primary intention behind sex is to express affection, love and connection with the partner. While it can certainly result in pregnancy, it's more on the emotional bond and mutual enjoyment rather than on reproduction itself.

Basically, self-explanatory.

What they did in Ch 99 is a baby making session rather than a making love session. Yes, the consent is there, Taeju is still lucid and Euihyun tearing up tryna confess that Taeju is the one he wants to settle down with for the rest of his life (not verbatim but that's the main context for all that 'take responsibility for me', 'support me in everything I do'), but Euihyun literally said something along the lines of 'let's make a baby'.

And really? At a chapter that's second to the last? No fucking way. It's like a last-minute order that is being cooked in a hasty motion at the very moment before the chef clocks out for the day.

Why? If we take a step back and recall the snu snu they had in the far past chapters, those took a couple of (if not 3) chapters of noncon/dubcon (if not SA/rape) per situation/incident, which have more amount of panels compared to this half-chapter of unprotected sex which will likely to result in pregnancy especially if Taeju will knot Euihyun. Pretty much what exactly most of the readers want in order to heal from the pain of the miscarriage news or compensate for the lost child (bcs I have been seeing people commenting, not only here but anywhere else as well, that Taeju and Euihyun can just make another baby, but not from rape this time).

Ch 100 is not yet even out but I'm disappointed already.

Really, what are we getting in a single chapter? With all the plot holes left? Just like the 1 month timeskip recently, I think we'll probably get more timeskips in the next (and last) chapter. Oh, let me guess. The sperm donor was finally captured in a blink of an eye? A framed picture of the main couple attending Euiyoung's entrance ceremony? Euihyun discovering the good news with a positive PT and that's it? Or maybe he and Taeju will share the good news with a scan photo of a 7-week (or 2-month) old fetus and that's it?

Or maybe no good news at all bcs it's another fucking beach scene??

And just rely on the side stories??? ofc I'm not sure if there will be side stories. I just have this feeling that we'll get an abrupt ending and author will take this opportunity to keep the readers at the bay by having side stories.

TL;DR - Sorry I'm just not vibing with how things are happening as we approach the end of this story.

Agree 100%, I said the same thing- what a shitty chapter lol... such a rush with ending... in 1 chapter we supposed to forget all the bullshit that been done in 98 chapters. If everything left for side stories what a point to make sides stories, just make another season.
Also I don't like how author portrait Euihyun in last chapter- as typical pathetic omega, crying about "give me your semen/ I want your baby" and clingy. Where previously Euihyun was portrait as pretty strong individual, even with whole depression, he was keep fighting.
Author completely dismissed the weight and darkness(depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, abandonment, fears and control of someones life and etc) this manha to replace with fluffy stuff "let's make a new baby, because I have a rich good-looking Alpha"

Yeah, Something really feels off with these final 3 chs that leaves us thinking and feeling disappointed.

I thought the confusion crux is that the particularities of the Omegaverse Universe could answer several gaps in Euihyun's behavior (like the bond, the claim, the mark, soulmate)but were not clearly exposed in the development and could try to minimize all discomfort by the abrupt ending, so we can only try to explain through psychological deductions or just smut satisfaction.

Don't feel bad if you get a lot of downvotes bcs here the majority of those who felt disappointed with the direction of the work always get a lot of downvotes ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

The only way to save this story is if the side stories are seasons long like love is an illusion, other than that like I’m extremely disappointed as well. You’ve said everything I thought about these last 3 chapters or so that updated.
To the people who said that the drug thing is supposed to happen to show how fuck up euihyung is or something, I disagree with. Literally the latest season was about redemption and moving on from that toxicity and showing how the actions that taejoo cause to euihyung has hurted euihyung and himself. So the whole drug thing didn’t make sense with me.
Plus it’s verrry obvious in this latest chapter that the author wanted to make the fans happy by having both euihyung and Taejoo engage in unprotected sex to make a baby. This would have been fine if it didn’t happen a month after Taejoo disappearance.
First alien in orbit and now water side night with disappointing endings.

So yeah it is dubious consent...taeju does try to push him away buy euihyun insists and the whole confession and baby talk comes and taeju replies to him that he wants to stay by his side even if they don't have kids...so make of that what you will...

OMG the love in orbit! Yes it was such disappointment, compare to the first work. It was kaka...

If the author is catering(allegedly)to the readers, with a baby thing, that's stupid. The whole 98 chapters Euihyun was been portrait as naive person, I even use a word "good hearted" ro describe him and not as wicked as Taeju. Remember, he didn't know how to use condom, asked his neighbor to touch him and etc. In the last chapter he looks like an idiot/loser with that move("impregnate me, my alpha") and not as " birds of the feather flock together". After all that was been happening to turn it pink and fluffy...

This work needs more chapters! It had such a potential... author should've kept miscarriage till the end. It would more decent ending if they would broke up- Taeju dissappeared- they would have their own monolog/conclusions(in their head) about life and how to move forward-few years or month later- the end(open ending for the readers to make their own assumptions) or extra/side chapters with fluffy, baby making, apologize stuff

That's a fair point. It seems this is how the author shows the character development. And in the efforts to show that, the character changed 180 degrees.

I'm with you on that confusion crux one. Omegaverse is really a trope that can be creatively explored by anyone, so much to the point that it's not one size fits all.
    Thanks for the kind words! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

It's nice that someone is on the same page as me but yeah that drug thing wasn't really necessary if the goal is to cater fans who wants a baby made in a proper way. It just looked like what's happening is a trial and error :/

Like, oh the baby is unwanted? Fine, let's just kill him.
Oh you wanna try for another baby? Sure, go fuck and make another one.

idk if it makes sense but regardless with baby or none, this last season was supposed to be moving from toxicity just like what you mentioned. that drug thing made it look like they're back to square one.

Perhaps it'd be better if there's no baby. Their relationship with proper communication is new , the pair should focus on healing and growing together and raising the younger brother . For me that'd be an ideal ending, even if they are together, a child shouldn't be made on a whim. Maybe marriage or just dating would be better form of commitment for them.
