And don't get me wrong. I'm not excusing the mc's actions because it's obvious that his actions are hurting people too. He can be pretty annoying to the point that he's getting to my nerves sometimes. Which is why I'm saying that even though he's an adult, he also can be a brat. This is why the concept of age in terms of maturity is really not that reliable. You really can't say to people that "they should have known better because they are already at this age!" Like yeah no. They're at that age not because they want to, that's just how life works. No matter how immature a person can be, life goes on. It's either you stay immature for the rest of your life OR you progress alongside your age. Both a kid and an adult can be annoying. It's not about their age. This is just how I "judge" people—though in this sense, i'm judging the depths of the personality of the characters.
It's honestly satisfying that we collectively think that Raika's actions are not right. Not because she's a kid doesn't mean that her actions are justified. She made not only the adults, but also her classmates feel bad because of her complex. I'm not saying she's a brat because she's a kid. What i'm saying is she's a brat because that's just who she is. Kids make mistakes, I know. But that is not a justifiable reason to excuse them from their bad behaviors. Though I know she'll change later on because that's just how the plot is gonna move forward, but it's still satisfying that no one is excusing her bad behavior just because she don't know the consequences of her actions.
Just ranted a bit because I know a lot of kids who are like this in real life and lots of adults are not even trying to talk them out of it because they are "kids and that we should let them be". It's like how lil boys tease the girls they like—parents would say that's how boys are supposed to be and that's how they show affection—but in reality, it's bullying. The negligence and blatant ignorance of the adults will not help the children.
