Rudiger doesn't need a slap, but needs a little lesson for his ignorance. He was a man who could barely empathise at the beginning of the story and he doesnt know the struggle she's been through, as a woman who has to raise a child alone. He just saw a child alone with barely any food and decided to call Judith a bad guardian. That's his ignorance
