Yep, its confusing to me too.. but there is a possibility that there may have been more timelines than the FL knows/remembers.. the ex remembers/knows bc he is always there to see FL die and turn back the time..

I'm cackling because what in the actual hell is going on???? So in a previous timeline, Olivia was killed by his mom and James had her stay at the mansion?? With potential killers? And if he did love her, why did he think forcing himself on her to the point she was terrified to do anything with Ian was acceptable or did the writer's forget? James' better be losing his brain cells each time he rewind time because this isn't making sense.
