He didn't lie. He did prolong his life. His grandpa shouldn't really still be alive and definitely shouldn't be up and talking. But everyone has to die eventually and he can't prolong his grandpas death forever
his grandpa can't be immortal though, he already in his age where he can die anytime, he just prolong his life
