Lol I have experienced that and it is awkward. Even tho I was the victim. Like I didn't feel intimidated at all. All I feel was awkwardness. Haha
have you never seen guys acting cocky and picking fights? Thats exactly what they do XD They get all up in each others face. Im on the sidelines like "Just Freaking kiss already..Damn"
Yeah, I don't get that either. I always found being scary is easier at arm length or more. It makes more of a point if you can intimidate a person without letting them touch you back. Getting in faces just annoys people and leaves you open to them smacking you.
Maybe their breath is the intimidating factor
I think that Asian cultures are particularly sensitive about personal space and its invasion. So yeah, apart from this being intimidating across cultures, you've got that factor.
Not all Asian cultures are sensitive about personal space (e. g. when I was in China, I didn't know where to hide, it felt as if Chinese have no personal space whatsoever and they didn't seem to be bothered about it in the slightest).
You should sneak behind one and "accidentally" fall into him.

Why in manga/manhwa, people shove their faces near the people they try to intimidate? It's like, it'll be awkward in real life. If I were to try that I'll be too bothered asking myself "is my breath fresh enough?" to even try to look intimidating.
